Still on the topic of being old and grown up.

I met the English service YA of my church on my way back after worship prac and took the same bus back with one of them. We have not talked much to each other before even though we were of the same age, simply ‘cos she’s from the English service and I’m from the Chinese. But we both grew up in church.

We talked about quite a lot of stuff on the way back. About work and especially about church and the annual mission trip. I realised how much we’ve both grown up, despite not having deep conversations with her previously. We were both burdened about the spiritual condition of our youths, the level of commitment we get for service and cell groups. We also felt that there should be more interaction between the two groups.

I guess it is a good start to see that a number of us in church are burdened about our youths. We should come together to pray and to seek God. I’m sure neither of us will want to see the exodus of an entire batch of the youths in HMC to happen again.
